Photoblog: Movenpick Nawras Resort, Jeddah

Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

That is pretty much how the past three weeks have been for me. Although I can’t complain because a ‘crazy busy’ routine is definitely welcomed from time to time, but the fact that it kept me away from writing here to you is what made me a little sad, hahah.

This post, you guys. It’s been on my mind for the longest time! These are pictures from one of my (awesome) resort trips to Movenpick Al Nawras resort here in Jeddah.

My last family outing here was a couple months back in December 2014, but certainly not the first.

Let me start out by sharing why my family and I, especially my mom love place.

Point A– it is inside city limits, i.e unlike other resorts in/around Jeddah where you’d have to drive a longer distance to reach, Movenpick Nawras is at a comfortable city limit and thus, considered safer than other resorts near Jeddah that are farther- according to my mothers’ logic (can’t argue with mom logic ya’ll!).

Point B– It is perfect for a private family get together. Every booked villa has it’s own swimming pool facing the ocean (as you will see in the photos to follow). So if you’re someone who prefers a more private space (and I certainly do!), Movenpick Nawras resort is pretty much the perfect spot.

However, the benefits in points A and B do come at a cost. Movenpick is a more expensive option compared to it’s cheaper, farther-from-city-limits counterparts. Sure, you can definitely grab a discount rate during off-season bookings (which we have successfully done in the past), but generally- it still is more expensive.

At the end of the day, it comes down to your own preference and affordability, so to speak. In any case, it is my humble opinion that you won’t be disappointed!

(Brace yourself because there are quite a few 🙂

This is the beautiful view from the villa (which is conveniently separated from the neighboring ones). Sigh, how much I miss this place right now.

This little guy decided to join us in the pool during one part of our trip. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen me post about this funny incident.

Night view shots for change!

Playing around with the camera 😮 .

This lane is from outside the villa. Essentially, there is a compound like area where there are areas with benches and (!) – sandy beach! It is quite lovely if you ask me. Pictures below so you can see what I mean.

Above is the stairway leading to the ‘Sandy Beach’- literally. That is exactly what it is mentioned as on the board at the entrance. Even though this is outside the villa and hence a little more public, there is no way you cannot dip your toes a little and enjoy the water 😉

Sigh. Looking at these photos makes me miss this place, and the company we had even more! Hopefully, we can go there again soon inshaAllah!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and that it was helpful in some way to decide your next family get together.

I want to hear- have you been to Movenpick Nawras anytime? Also, which place is your favourite spot to enjoy with family (especially as a Jeddawi)? Comment away!

Thank you so much for spending some time on my blog today.

Until my next post, have a blessed day!

Assalam alaykum!
